1st Grade Silly Lilly and the Four Seasons

What do you know about the four seasons? Today, we are going to identifycompare, and contrast the four seasons. We are going to to read Silly Lilly and the Four Seasons from Toon Book Reader. First we will brainstorm some activities we do in each season and describe the weather from each season. Then we will read the book Silly Lilly online. Last, we will compare two seasons in our Venn Diagrams.

    5th Grade You Are What You Eat

    You are what you eat. First, use Baylor College of Medicine and find your guidelines for a healthy diet. Next, use The Fast Food Calorie Counter, to find the nutrition information from your favorite restaurant. Then, type one or two paragraphs explaining if your food order fits with your daily recommended nutritional values. Do you need to change what you order? Why or why not? What food or drink items surprised you in their nutritional (or lack thereof) values?

    1st Grade PBS Kids Math

    Some math practice today with the great activities at PBS Kids. Make sure to follow the directions because you will be switching activities every few minutes.

    Log into your new account. Continue with Typing Web wherever you left off last time. Then, try out Keyboard Ninja and Type Toss from the "games" section of TypingWeb. Make sure to select "Home Row" before you begin each game. Then login to your Sumdog account and play any Sumdog activity against the world or your class.
